After taking a more detailed look at this years product schedule I only came across four products that I may want to buy. The AI proof and RP set and the proof Morgan and Peace dollars. I guess that's a good thing with the constant price increases going on. Anyone else trimming down on what they'll be getting this year or has it increased?

Quote: Anyone else trimming down on what they'll be getting this year or has it increased? The change in Washington's portrait has provided me the perfect excuse to no longer try to keep up with the excessive varieties of quarters that the U.S. Mint has been producing every year. I guess you could say my John Flanagan quarter collection was completed in 2021 with the issuance of the Washington Crossing the Delaware design.

I'm waiting for the unknown number of ASEs they'll randomly drop on us later in the year.

Last year I only had the AÍ dollars on enrollment. I stopped everything else. This year I put the S ASE back on enrollment and my wife wants the famous lady quarters so I added. I'm still waiting for any limited release items and I'll get the peace and Morgan proofs.

My Washington quarter collection was completed in 1998. Especially since the other stuff goes into new albums. That being said, I will have to wait to see what Dansco does for 2022+.

I'm still enrolled in the ASE's (still on the fence if I want to continue) and will probably grab a Peace dollar. If the liberty medal is the same design as the gold horse last year, I'll get that as a companion piece. I may get the Navy silver medal as a gift for a retired sailor family member and stash it until Christmas.

So, the US Mint keeps e-mailing me that the introductory pricing period for the Negro Leagues Baseball Centennnial Commemorative Coins is coming to an end soon (regular pricing starts at 3pm EST 7 Feb). While there is an introductory price for the Half Dollar and Dollar, there isn't for the Half Eagle. The pricing grid for 2022 Pricing of Numismatic Gold, Commemorative Gold, Platinum, and Palladium Products indicates that with spot gold in the $1800 to $1849.99 range that the price for a PRF commemorative half eagle is $674 and an UNC half eagle is $664. The current price on the US Mint's website for the PRF is $674 and the UNC is $664. So, there doesn't appear to be an introductory price discount for the half eagles. Since the Mint indicates Quote: Introductory pricing will be in effect for single coin options starting at noon (ET) on January 6, 2022 the 3 coin set isn't eligible for any introductory pricing. That's reasonable since the cost of the set is less than the cost of the 3 individual coins (but with this year's price hikes it's not a good of a deal as in past years). The authorizing law says Quote: (c) PREPAID ORDERS.— (1) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary shall accept prepaid orders for the coins minted under this Act before the issuance of such coins. (2) DISCOUNT.—Sale prices with respect to prepaid orders under paragraph (1) shall be at a reasonable discount. So, I guess the reasonable discount for a gold half eagle is 0%.

Looks like the Purple Heart coins were put back on the schedule for 2/24.

Quote: Looks like the Purple Heart coins were put back on the schedule for 2/24. ... but the colorized version of the silver dollar is still floating around at the bottom of the calendar list as To Be Determined (TBD). I guess the second-party colorizer can't keep up with the Mint's schedule.

I was not impressed with the colorized basketball coins, so I'm not in for future colorized coins. Gimmicky imho.

Agree with captainrich on the basketball colored coins. Colors were kind of blah.
