I'll be interested to see what this product is like. Past coin and medal sets have been very nice.
I am interested as well. I really like the other coin and medal sets I have. I hope this will make a nice addition to that group.

Personally I don't see anything jumps out to me as a must have for 2022. This might change when we know pricing for offerings. I do like the idea of the Purple Heart coins. I am not surprised to see Morgan and Peace dollars for next year.

But I don't like the way the Mint is using privy marks as a sales gimmick.

I don't like how they've added the privy marks. They're so small they're barely noticeable.

Looks like the Mint is already changing release dates. Purple Heart series and ASE Proof moved to TBD. And both Negro Leagues and Purple Heart appear to be preorders.

I wish they would cut it out with the pre orders. The way I see it, I have no reason to bite until the Feb 7 date for when intro pricing ends.

At least they had the smarts to put the purple hearts to TBDs.

The pictures are starting to come in, too. That colorized purple heart actually looks nice. But I probably still won't buy the color coins.

Jackie Robinson medal looks very nice!

What is up with this?

https://www.coinworld.com/news/us-c...-sales-start

It's likely the U.S. Mint won't be posting images of struck coins for the two 2022 commemorative coin programs until after sales for both programs are launched.

The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor and Negro Leagues Baseball coin programs are both scheduled for a Jan. 6 sales launch.

"The current schedule is for Negro Leagues Baseball coins images to be available in January, and National Purple Heart Hall of Honor coins in February," U.S. Mint spokesman Michael White said Dec. 6. Both commemorative coin programs are three-coin initiatives approved by Congress, each with a gold $5 coin, silver dollar and copper-nickel clad half dollar, each of which is to be offered in a Proof and Uncirculated version.

That is discouraging. It does seem to align with them being pre-order. Cannot show a coin that has not been minted yet.

I take issue with the phrase "to be available."

If you're going to say they are going to be available in January, then ship them out in January. They are simply turning on ordering in January.

I'm not trying to be a complainer, but I wish they would simply put out dates for when to expect a true release. None of these will sell out, if prior commem years are any indication. I'm going to keep my cash on hand earning .0005% interest and order when they are shipping.

Edit: I realize now that they are referring to images. But to me, no difference. In the software industry we call this "vaporware."

I try not to be a complainer but I find it grossly incompetent that the mint has a disclaimer stating "Please make sure your credit card is not scheduled to expire prior to the shipping date to ensure prompt delivery of your order."on a product that has a shipping date identified as TBD... Okay, I guess I'm supposed to guess...

Wait so last year we bought coins months before production, now we're buying coins before designs are complete and available, what's for next year, coin surprise boxes?

Remember when We use to order coins/medals without worrying whether the U.S. Mint's website will even allow us to order?
