I wonder if they will show up in the Limited Edition Silver Proof Set along with an ASE. If so it will be a very expensive set.

Quote: as for the Peace/Morgans, I cant wait to get an actual proof one of these. I just hope they dont go wild like they did this year. As of now that's probably the most anticipated release of 2022 so yes it will go wild. Wonder what the mintage and price will be? My guess is around 150k mintage each with a price point of around $100.

Just added the 2022 issues to my spreadsheet. I only collect circulation issues and proofs of those (including stuff like Kennedy's and Innovation/Native American $1) so I won't be bothering with all the Morgan/Peace/commemorative stuff. If I have extra cash at the time I might get a smaller proof gold eagle, but that's a big maybe. Anyway, I see a total of:
1c: 2 MS, 1 PR 5c: 2 MS, 1 PR 10c: 2 MS, 2 PR 25c: 15 MS, 10 PR 50c: 2 MS, 2 PR $1: 10 MS, 9 PR (20 MS if you collect edge varieties)
Altogether 58 new coins this year (!), 68 including edge varieties. This is essentially the same as the average I've counted over the past 5 years (57.4 issues), so I'm fine with that. There may be a few surprise issues, or even better, unintentional varieties that make collecting fun :)

Well, like others have said, this will hopefully make 2022 a less expensive year than 2021 was in terms of US Mint purchases. At this point I'm in for sure on: o ASEs (S, W, W) o Annual Proof, Uncirc, Silver Proof mint sets o American Innovation RP and Proof sets Maybe on: o Peace Proof o Morgan Proof o Purple Heart products (depends on how they look). That is a very short list compared to last year!

The Negro Leagues dollar/Jackie Robinson medal set could be interesting.
Looks like they're bringing back the S- mint business strike quarters too.

I would like to see the Morgan and Peace dollar proofs an enrollment item. I know, wishful thinking.

I really wish they would keep the remind me or add to bag button on the product listing page. It's difficult to see what's available and what's not.

For me, I guess the proof clad quarter set (or one of the 2022 sets), and maybe try for the proof Peace/Morgan but I am already happy to have uncirc copies. Purple Heart seems to have 3 designs one each for gold, silver, and clad, will pass on that. Wow yeah, gonna be a cheap year.

Thankfully, 2022 will be much less expensive. I'm still on the fence as to if I want to keep going with ASEs since I'm not as enamored with the new design. That said, I don't think I'll have a hard time finding one on the secondary market (for a decent price compared to 2021 prices) if I change my mind since this isn't the original release year.
If the Liberty medal is the same design as the horse from this year, I'll get it as a companion to the gold coin. Also will get the Peace/Morgan proof (thankfully, there's only 1 each this year).
May get the Navy medal as a gift for a Navy relative, depending on the design.
At least 2 coins, max 6. Subject to change depending what surprises they add.

I will not be one of those buying the "commemorative" coins, bullion items or the Morgan and Peace dollars, I have no interest in over priced fluff.

There was a time when the U.S. Mint stuck to a regular Commemorative agenda: two commemorative sets per year - one with a gold coin (gold, silver dollar & half dollar) and one without gold (silver dollar & half). But not anymore. I see that both commemorative programs in 2022 include gold coins, along with additional options of a colorized coin (Purple Heart, of course) and a privy-marked coin (Negro League). ... and that's just what has been announced so far. I ask the U.S. Mint to please stop the insanity.

Nice to see the 2022 Mint Set being offered in the spring again as it normally was before COVID. As of now that's the only product offering I for sure plan to purchase in 2022. Quote: There was a time when the U.S. Mint stuck to a regular Commemorative agenda: two commemorative sets per year - one with a gold coin (gold, silver dollar & half dollar) and one without gold (silver dollar & half). But not anymore. The makeup of each commemorative program is entirely up to Congress, not the Mint. However, the decision to issue colorized and/or privy-marked coins is up to the Mint. I think the colorized Purple Heart dollar could be nice if done properly. But I don't like the way the Mint is using privy marks as a sales gimmick. Quote: Negro Leagues Baseball 2022 Proof Silver Dollar and Jackie Robinson Proof Silver Medal Set I'll be interested to see what this product is like. Past coin and medal sets have been very nice.
