So I learned something today. I thought the copper pennies where only found in 1982 D. And I need help on this one. She is definitely heavily circulated. But this coin is almost orange. I was separating my copper and zinc and found some 3.7g pennies but this one is 3.1g?
The 3.1g confirms that this coin is copper, however it is the large date. You want to be looking for the small date 1982-D copper, which is the big rarity. Keep hunting!

Ok thank you tons. In my last box I had tons of coppers and about 50 are 1982 I feel like someone took their grandparents coins and used them for a coke. Just way to many good coins. And I am so new I am taking my time with them. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate everyone's help.
