Are these people stupid? They can just get one from the mint!

And why does it say "confirmed"? Is there a scarcity already?

From one auction:

Quote:
You can order from the mint now, but if you want more than one for your address, or if you would like a very early order (and thus early strike and delivery fulfillment), this is the one for you!
Interesting spin on it...

Gold just jumped $~40 today.

When is the mint going to change prices? I heard it's every week, but on what day?

Got my first email from the USMint regarding my order. Delivery has been pushed back from 2/6 to 2/20. They better honor the price they gave me when I ordered it.

I got off the phone 15 minutes ago after speaking with the US Mint Customer service. I got my order in at 12:08 the first day and it was supposed to ship 01/28, the today I got an eMail, delayed until 02/06 and I wanted to know why.

The lady told me that there were some delays in shipping and originally they were projecting a 6-9 month delay, but I'm OK for now.

I also order another at 12:10 on the first day and she told me that they were going to cross check credit cards and mailing address and cancel orders of more than 1 PER PERSON/CREDIT CARD. I then asked if I could use a different credit card and have it sent to a different address, she thought that they would cross reference the NAME on the credit card but wasn't sure if they would be able to limit that way. If they cancel my second one, I'll try it.

She also thought that they planned to lift the limit if possible, later in the year.

Pricing is based on the average London price fix for the previous Wednesday-Thursday so it's possible that if gold averages over $900 it will be $1239 next week.

I hope they would not do that. It would be unfair to someone like John Smith or another common name!

That's exactly why I'm on the fence about buying one of these. They are nice looking coins, but if they mint mega amounts of them they won't be worth much more than a bullion coin(IMO).
