No, I thought in the bill it would be minted until all demand has been filled, and if there's extras, sales will go into 2010.
Anyways, I'm not going to get one from the mint. I'll wait for the gold price to drop and get one aftermarket.

Anyone see what these are "preselling" for on ebay? $1795. With the mint limit of one per household, it's tempting to order one and make a quick buck.

It's going to be a hot coin methinks. I really can't afford one at this time but will still order one.
With the limit of one per household it will make it difficult for coin dealers so they are buzzing about it. I'm only ordering one because my boss will pay for it and add an extra $50. Considering I can't afford one I'll take the quick $50.

The 1 per household limit will eventually be lifted at some point, but currently no one knows when.

Maybe we should start a poll or two.
First question would be: Do you plan to buy a 2009 UHR Gold Coin this year?
My Answer: Maybe.
Second question would be: What do anticipate the final mintage figure will be for the 2009 UHR Gold Coin?
My Answer: 371,230.
Last question would be: What do expect the high and low price of the 2009 UHR Gold Coin will be based on the Mint's price chart?
My Answers: High - $1,289 and Low - $1,039.

I am by no means an expert, But I do not feel the price of gold will drop below $800 at least not this year some people who do call them self experts are predicting $1000 by years end. So if gold does not drop below $800 the 2009 UHR is at it's lowest price right now.
"Although no mintage limits have been placed on the new coins, the Mint's brochure was careful to highlight that they would be "produced subject to the gold blank availability throughout the worldwide market" This is Quoted From My numismatic newsletter Email

Was talking with a friend of mine who is a coin dealer and he said it is silly, the request dealers have out to the mint. 30, 50, 100...preordered, hoping they can get as many as they can without even knowing the price. I think the mint is limiting 1 per household, correct me if I'm wrong.
It's on my "wish list"...as on today I don't plan on getting one, but that might change tomorrow or after I see how beautiful one is.

I really hope that they do limit these to one per household. I think that is the only way the market won't be flooded with these coins.

Quote: one per household Wonder what the dealer limit is if there is one? Kind of unfair to John Q. Public if dealers aren't limited to one per store as well.
