I bought this MS64 random date Peace dollar off APMEX for $70 and I received an example with some pretty unattractive toning on the obverse, should I consider returning it to get my money back or keep it?

You answered your own question by asking

DO you REALLY want that every time you see this coin you say to yourself, "maybe I should have sent this back...its so ugly!?"

From looking at that coin, I learned something about PCGS (or maybe all TPGs).
and yes, I agree, the coin is undesirable for a collection.

Ugly toning, and from experience will not dip out if you tried.
Send it back.

Never buy a coin without seeing a picture of what you're buying. The "random example" of a xyz grading company's MS64 is a never a way to buy any coin. Return it.

I-Just-Paid-$70-For-This-Coin-Off-Apmex,-Should-I-Consider-Returning-It?

Ugh! The person who picked and packed this coin should be ashamed of themselves. Send it back "tout de suite".

I got a few things from them in their early days. No problems and as described.

About 5 years ago the stuff they were sending was over graded and was no where near as they had described it. Had to return it. Haven't bought anything since from them.

Sounds like things haven't got any better. We live and learn.
