My Goals for 2022: 1. Complete the Dansco 8176 Eisenhower album. I'm only lacking a few holes. 2. Continue to fill holes in albums I've been working on for years. WLH, Indian cents, Morgan dollars, etc 3. Acquire a 2022 silver eagle and Innovation dollars 4. Continue to coin roll hunt and have fun collecting!

Time for an update I think, Original post in Italics, progress in normal script. Its a hard one as 2021 was so successful to the point I spent so much on coins I did not save anything!
1. Spend about half as much money on coins (As I say this a dealer offers to put an EF 1849 GB Florin in EF on layaway for me)
2. Quality vs quantity.
3. Shillings, shillings and mo shillings!!! At least one from every reign going back to Henry VIII, just missing him, Edward VI, Mary, James I, Charles 1 and 2 and Commonwealth
4. Selective upgrading of Florins and Halfcrowns for British.
5. Complete my date set of Australian Florins
6. Save some money
7. Get another cat or 2 (I am thinking 2 so they can keep each other company when I am working or playing with my coins) - maybe one moggy and one Maine Coon?
8. Travel somewhere out of Auckland and preferably out of New Zealand.
9. Get a better job.1. So far just may be doing that, but after a quiet January, I started going crazy again, although this year has been less big ticket items and more middle and lower priced ones. 2. Yes, a lot of selective and high quality upgrading this year thanks to a new dealer. 3. Compared to the other coins, the shillings are only progressing as normal. Only added Eddie VI and I am sure he was there at the end of 21', but are looking at some worn Charles I shillings. 4. This is the biggest success so far, the British acquisitions thread and my own British coin thread showcase some of the Kream that I have been adding this year! Just one shiny and gleaming coin after another! 5. Well I am one coin closer, but yes this is pretty ambitious stuff for some one who has only collected them for 18 months. The one coin was EF though. 6. Not on your life, but selling some Lego has at least put me a few hundred $ up so far and I have a shiny new TV. 7. Since then, my partner went to hospital 2 more times and lives in a rest home now, so any feline friends have been put on hold - however I am a hit with the neighbourhood moggies and many feline companions on my newspaper delivery journeys. 4am is like 4pm in their world! 8 and 9 - Not a prayer given current partner situation and shiny Florins and Halfcrowns sucking up the holiday fund. Lots of joy reading about all of your goals as well!

Get my hands on as many Morgan and Peace dollars (VG or better) as I can afford. Unfortunately, the premiums are ridiculous. Dealers always had them available as low as $15-$16 each not too long ago. Now the prices I see are $28 or more.

MY goals are a mix of new ones and continuation of those established when I started collecting in late 2019: 1) Get my annual silver proof, uncirculated US coin sets. High priority 2) Get American Innovation proof, rev proof sets as well as business strikes. High priority 3) Continue to work on completing the long short set of Walking Liberty half dollars in uncirculated grade whenever possible (and this means in 2022 or next year upgrade my 38D from XF to MS). Likely will go at a slower rate and aim to add 2 years/mints I do not have with a focus on the period 1934 - 1940. High priority 4) Get a bullion Maple Leaf and Krugerrand. Low priority. 5) Get if offered a 1/10 ounce Palladium bullion coin from Dan Carr's Moonlight Mint. Medium Priority 6) If 5) isn't offered, get another Maundy Set from a different monarch. Medium to Low Priority 7) Do more coin roll hunting by purchasing every few months half dollars or quarters to search. This would help a little with getting WLBs. High priority 8) Discuss with my dealer later in the year layaway for a $3 gold coin in 2023. Medium Priority. 9) Increase income. Very high priority 10) Practice the advice that "slow and steady wins the race" Very high priority 11) Sell some of my coin roll finds and stuff that is taking up space and is no longer as much of an interest. High priority 12) Get a Belskie medal when budget allows. Low to Medium priority. 12) Have fun and don't let oneself take numismatics too seriously. Top priority. Of course as with goals, these can change.

My collecting goals haven't changed in more than 40 years. Same for 2022. The aim is to build an OFEC collection.
One From Every Century since the beginning of coinage 2,600 years ago One From Every Culture, from every Century for as long at that culture struck coins.
Actually, I am long way towards achieving that goal, but on the other hand, I know that is is an impossible task to complete, even over a lifetime.

Update! Quote:2. Finish the extended part of the PCGS Ike set The four Presidential dollars (2015 P/D/ S-PR/P-RP) 1972 Varieties 2 and 3 (which I neglected to list last year). I have scratched both 2015 proofs (regular and reverse) off the list!

I need to purchase an 1880-cc rev 78, 1893-S to complete my Morgan's. Also upgrade 1890-cc to MS and buy a draped bust dollar. I'm trying to not get sidetracked this year and focus on my dollars.

Spring Update1) ATB silver proof set. Still on hold. Bought some halves for the stack instead. Sold ALL my ASEs.2) Kingdom of The Netherlands Type Set.Bought some coins via MA-Shops. Will visit coins shops in The Netherlands this summer. Expanding the set with currency. Plan to collect the four major design series: Classic ("Erflaters I'), Modern ("Erflaters II"), Post-Modern, and Abstract. 3) Set of Silver Ducats from The Dutch Republic.Have not seen any silver ducats in acceptable condition anywhere from the provinces I still need for my collection (Friesland, Gelderland, Groningen, Holland, Overijssel, West-Friesland). Did buy Lighthouse Everslab to house the two coins I have and made nice home-made labels for them.4) As a small side project, started to collect world commemorative coins featuring a composer.
