My Uncle was having me look at his new 2021 Type 2 Silver Eagle, and I noticed the "WA." At first, I thought this meant that it was the designers initals, but those were on the reverse.

I looked at a few other 2021 Silver Eagles and noticed that some of them didn't have the "WA."

So, what exactly does the WA mean? Side note, he bought this as a preorder, meaning it wasn't necessarily part of the "First Strike" but it was some of the first few produced (I believe).

Sorry for the glare, it's in a slip that he didn't want me to take it out of.

Another quick question, what does the "MG" mean as well? I know that the designer for the Type 2 was Emily Damstra, and her initials are to the left, but what of this "MG?"

Might've just found the answer but does it have to do with Adolph A. Weinman? And why do some Type 2 and other Silver Eagles not have his initials?

"AIP designer Emily Damstra created the [reverse] design, which was sculpted by Mint Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso."

"[T]he obverse of the silver coin will display a refreshed depiction of the 1916 "Walking Liberty" design by famed sculptor Adolph A. Weinman."
