Hello, First I was not sure if this is an S. Lacking vision in one eye. Also, would someone be kind enough to give me their opinion on the grade of it? I appreciate any help. Thank you.

Yep, an S mint there, and as to grade, I would venture a F-12ish .

San Francisco mint, yes. With the coin being a common, well circulated Wheat cent (warts and all), I could see it falling in the F-F+ range. Not knowing the nature of the dark spot on the date, you could try a long 100% acetone soak to see if it diminishes. Just a thought.

Agree 1919-S. I'll say VG-10 details (environmental damage). to the CCF!

Yes, it's an S mint. The black residue around the date appears to be organic and corrosion - from what I can tell with limited pictures.
F-12
