1803/2 half eagle. It was bodybagged by NGC for altered surfaces, and was plugged before I drilled the plug out. I then put a small split ring in the hole. This coin is WAY beyond being fit for any album, though it is worth considerably more than melt value. It is what it is: a great keyring fob, and likely the only draped bust I'll ever own. Gutsy to be carrying expensive and old US gold on your key ring but I like it!

Don't really have any coins on my keyring, but I do carry a 1941 Merc dime in my pocket every day :)

I chose a different option - I have a bottle of nitroglycerin tablets in a leather holder on my keyring

More than I'm willing to walk around with on my key ring @ thq, but very cool! For me it's just an Aztec calendar copper round.

I guess I need to add a coin, all I got on my ring is 26 keys, 2 screwdrivers, 1 bottle opener combo'd with a spark plug gauge and leather key fob from a gun shop. Held together with 4 rings and 2 carabiners... But I do have my pocket pieces...23 Peace $, 1903 dime, 1912 V nickel, 1970D "never go broke" cent and always a handful (which I give away to our younger guests) of IHC and 1943 cents.

I only have two small keys on my keychain. Maybe I should add a coin or two. Which one should I choose?

I like that 1881 Morgan jacrispies. The hole looks sturdy like the one in that 1851 cent. I like the worn JFK half too, but the hole is too close to the edge and would probably tear out before long. And it's nice and smooth. I recommend putting it on its own split ring so that can lay down flat. If it's directly on the keyring a big coin protrudes.
I keep the keyring inside a small cloth bag, and coins in a small leather pouch. By themselves coins and keys wear holes in my pockets pretty fast.

I've had this one for 25 years on my keys. 1996 twoonie with its core knocked out, I found it in '97 detecting in a park ...it was hit by a lawnmower and I never found the other piece, who knows how far each half went and from where

Gypsies and prospectors used to hole gold coins and carry them on bracelets and strings. That made them targets for thieves 150 years ago. No one knows that anymore. Wallets are targets but keyrings? Doubtful.
My biggest worry is losing it. Hence the little cloth bag.
