I replied to a similar post yesterday but apparently should have started my own. Idk yesterday was the first time I have posted and obviously this is all new to me. Sorry if this post is redundant. I have two pennies from 1986, they aren't copper colored, the design/words are not worn down, but there are lines like it was run over.so it's interesting. it weighs 2.5/2.6 but are bigger, like a nickel size.
That is called a Texas Cent (Because things are bigger in Texas) If you want more information, use the " Search" forum at the top of the sidebar. It is considered damage so there is no premium for it.
What most likely happened here is that someone put this coin between two pieces of hard leather and crushed it in a vise. This will enlarge the coin and cause the copper plating to fall off.
