1987 P Dime Missing The E In Dime

I believe this is a strike through error but please correct me if I'm wrong. I know this isn't a major error but I thought it was cool looking and wanted to share. I tried looking for one like it and couldn't find one online. Part of the M and all of the E are missing. One Dim!

You'll get more replies if you crop and enlarge your images, showing them right-side up. Probably a grease-filled die issue here.

That is a fun find @jmw and I agree it looks like struck through a little grease. One small thing though—please flatten those staples so that you don't inadvertently scratch a neighboring coin.

Thanks everyone I'll definitely go back and knock down these staples I never even thought about them damaging another one of my coins. Thanks for all the feedback. I'll hold off posting till I get a computer to upload images I know that's a big issue with my post. I'll get better :)
