Thank you wd. (Humbly) I owe it all to the hours, nay, days spent sifting through minor world coins with numbed and blackened fingers.

I knew my timing would be off and I would miss my chance. My only consolation is that I would have had it wrong anyway! Congratulations, kyotiby!

hoi quick, I see curiosity runs deep within you, probably a puzzle master too. Wish 'kyotiby' had a better tale, back in 99 I started on ebay, elsewhere in my life I was known as Coyote, all derivatives of that name were unavailable so I jumbled and mumbled and became coyote buy-kyotiby. Thanks for asking, first time ever. And you are quicksilver because you are fluid and mercurial?

Ah! it becomes clear. Coyote boy had crossed my mind but not buy. I love silver coins, so I wanted something with silver in and I just thought QuickSilver sounded like a cool word. I suppose I should really have a Mercury dime as my avatar but the Edward VII florin is my favourite coin so...

And a fine florin it is, the pre-decimals are so uniquely British. I wondered if Quicksilver may have been a nod to gold extraction or perhaps a description of the way silver flees through the fingers. Hmm, might be a forum topic there, "What the heck does your nom-de-plume mean?" I've been fortunate enough to have trod your soil, once to the north and once in the south, a mighty green country. Have any problem keeping your collection dry?
