Sicily, Syracuse. Hieron II (275-215 BC). Æ (19.5mm, 5.82g, 9h).
Obv - Ornamented trident head flanked by two dolphins.
Rev - Head of Poseidon, wearing tainia.
References: CNS II, 197; SNG ANS 964ff.; HGC 2, 1550.

This is not a rare coin so I had my choice of many coins and picked out the one with the nicest eye appeal, at least to my eyes. Thoughts? Thanks!

Looks to me like you did well. Both sides are well centered and there seems to be relatively light wear. That might be a planchet flaw that looks like a bite missing, but it isn't in a bad spot.

Like you said it is not a rare coin so it trades on grade and getting those letters under the trident makes it a great example. The majority of the coins from this series seem to be missing the letters there so well done!
