I have this dime that is undersized, has no edge, and no edge grooves. Can someone tell me if this is a mint error, and where can I get the coin valued

someone has ground down the edge of the coin intentionally, it would be considered damage so worth only face value.

The coins are all struck with a collar around them to add the reeded edge and make each coin come out to a specific size, if the collar is removed then the coin can expand beyond the dimensions set for said coin(this is called a broadstruck). So it is impossible for a modern coin to be struck smaller then the dimensions set for it. Hope that helps a little. You can find tonz of great info on this forum through the search bar.

Edit: a coin can be struck on a thin planchet and be thinner and lighter then a normal coin but the circumference of the coin will always remain the same.

Yes, post-strike damage. Suggest not holding coins with metal tweezers/grips.

I totally agree with ijn1944. Metal tweezers may damage coins/ get in the habit of not using them around coins. Use cotton gloves when handling coins.
Your coin has been intentionally ground down resulting in post mint damage and a worthless coin.

Yep the edge is worn/ground off that coin. And as stated, never use metal utensils to handle any coin - it will cause damage and scratches.
