So there you go folks. I finally got the pictures that you requested, with a lot of help from htjacinto. Enjoy, and give me any responses that you have.

So I'm confused (predictably) - are these actually thin sheets of mostly pure gold and silver?

@dearborn, next time I'm in AZ I will hold you to that beer

@Garbanzo,

I read the majority of pictures you sent to me and while the sales pitch is persuasive I am still missing one piece of information and that is how much is the total weight of silver and gold. If your scale is accurate (and APMEX is accurate), I calculated that each note might have 2.3717 grams of silver covered by .0283 grams of gold. Or about $1.67 value in gold and $1.66 value in silver or about $3.33 value in precious metal. With an exchange rate of $37 USD, which is probably what you can get in Antigua and Barbado if you use it there.

hfjacinto .. seems to me that you may have the weights reversed. There is much more gold there than silver. I have no way of weighing each separately. Some of the bills have more silver content on them (different size and or more ships) but regardless, there is always much more gold than silver in all of them. The bills are solid gold foil not gold plated silver foil and the silver is silver foil on top of the surface of the gold foil. As far as I can tell, my scale is quite accurate and this particular bill weighs in at 2.4g. Don't know what else I can say.

@garbanzo,

If the coins do have over 2 grams of gold then each has a spot value of over $100 which doesn't equate to average sale price. I really don't know how much gold is in each one, but 2 grams of gold seems unrealistic as each note would be worth much more than it's face value and considering the cost, how can someone make money selling something that costs more (or has more precious metal) than it it sells for.
