Others may have a more solid opinion on the doubling or not and on which die pair is involved. It's a great coin. My instincts call this a two-feather. It's clearly one of the two Ron Pope noted. 1buff2many Valued Member United States 92 Posts	Posted 06/26/2022 10:08 pm I believe the OP 1923 Buffalo nickel is from die pair 2 in Pope's book (so not the DDO) and the referenced MS-64 that sold for $500 in Feb 2009 was this PCGS example https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin...s-401/569437 If you compare the fairly unique abrasion that was done to the front of the neck from the MS-64 example and the one posted in this thread it looks like a very good match.
