Can ngc be wrong? I have cents with plating problems, none are that silvery shiny. More like gorhams. Back to the original post. This is unmistakable ground down. It might have started out at 2.6. Just the fact to be over weight is clear. Other think it is the Zinc planchet is impossible to has those forms I see here after rolling. @4Qeens: Can you tell me who it is that person who know more then as? In general I know almost big specialists, and if tell me about your original coin posted it is plating default I will talk with him or her long time before I will be OK with this conclusion.
