So Far My original orders were 20 MORGAN's, I have Returned HALF.....  I have Kept, Or Settled for Less Than Perfect....Not What I would call, Getting it Right.... My Problem...... Both PEACE and MORGAN Proofs were Honorably Selected, In My Opinion Because they wanted to get the Once in a Lifetime Anniversary Strikes to The King of Quality, The San Francisco Mint . Again, Agfter Halding 20 PLUS in My Hands, They Failed Me, Very Poor Grades......  Brand New Directly from The United States Own, Premiere, San Francisco's Mint.....  I Have come to Expect Less from The U S Mint's , And They Delivered.....  PS, Sorry Cjohn  .....The Unc's Were and ARE Beautifully Done.....  |

I returned one of my Peace proofs. I don't think it is anything new or recent. I have been returning coins to the mint since I started buying from them in the early 1980s. Yes, it is frustrating and yes that and the crazy prices have seriously changed my buying from the mint.

It's not just the Morgan and Peace $. I returned 2 out of 3 proof ASEs. Struck through trash in the same spot on the reverse. The quality coming out of the mint is getting worse.

I just got the "Verify your U.S. Mint account information" email for the Morgan and Peace dollar 2023 Two-Coin Reverse Proof Set. We are getting closer!  |

Looks like they are going out the 9th now, swapping places with the Innovation Dollars Reverse Proof set (now the 14th).

2024 these will be released again in reverse proof? I may bow out after this year.

I won't buy 2024 reverse proof set and beyond unless they are lower mintage with better chance to increase in value.

Kinda sad that they are going to even continue the 'special finish' set exactly the same. I wont continue next years unless they have a mintage of like 100k or less. With a limit of 250k for 2023 (225k available for subscription orders) it has gone in and out of being able to subscribe to them. I can't see them making them super limited for 2024 with so many subscribers if they keep the subscription limit at 3-5. I was hoping they would do a different finish on them for next year. Its been awhile since they have done an Enhanced Proof or a ERP silver coin. |
