I just got this sealed 2000 Cheerios 1 cent coin and noticed it had something going on in the field in front of Lincoln's nose - a bubble or a die chip? I paid $5 bucks for it which I understand is about standard for one of these, but I'd be interested to see if the spot makes it any more desirable. Any help is appreciated!
It is a plating bubble. Probably makes it less desirable for those who want a high grade, problem free example. Plating bubbles are extremely common.

They will flatten with a press down with a toothpick. (leave the coin is the package) But it will not affect the value if you leave it intact. Either way it will press, but probably pop back up again. But I would leave the coin alone in the wrapper. Still not as valuable as the collar coins.
Coop - what is a collar coin, and what does it have to do with this coin? I only ask you directly because I wasn't getting a clear answer from a google search - or at least an answer that seemed to have anything to do with this coin.
