Quote: Just finished my Alphabet dollar set. Very nice Dearborn. They do look spectacular! I haven't really started on decimals yet. I think I have two alphabets only - an L for Lyrebird and an R for redback, picked up in pocket change. When I come up for air I'll see how I feel about moderns then. And after that who knows... maybe I can start with some wheat cents, Morgan dollars.... the US choices seem endless.

Quote: Ttkoo may be interested in this ttkoo is definitely interested. That is a mighty fine 1915H and about two miles in front of the one I offered previously. The 1910 sixpence is also a wonder to behold given it is 112 years old. Very nice indeed. Here are a few of mine which need a bath in some acetone, they are out of their old pvc album for the first time in probably 45 years. I think my 1915H is nearly up to yours, the 1914H is more worn, as is the 1939. Again, all purchased this year for $1.56 each, so pretty happy with the whole transaction. 1914H Florin Mintage 500,000 1915H Florin Mintage 750,000 1939 Florin Mintage 630,000

In with a big parcel of British coins I got today. Maybe not that exciting to some, but was a nice surprise.

Quote: 1937 and 1938 Australian Crowns Very nice crowns! I love that 1938 one! Here is a 1937 crown I recently purchased. The toning isn't for everyone, but I love the originality of this piece. The colours make it something quite special, in my opinion, as this denomination is not often seen toned. The coin has a great proof-like look to it in person!

I absolutely love those coins too. My 1937 Crown is very average, high VF/ low EF and possibly cleaned. It was the first proper Australian coin I brought back in 2019 for about $30 My 1938 however is a much better piece and cost me $300 last year. This is AU and definitely one of my favourites. For some reason I went for all the big rarities first before filling in more mundane gaps with my Predecimal Australian coins. I added a 1934/35 Victoria and 1932 Florin to my line up before the 1911! And I still lack a 1939!

I think that me buying that 1937 crown has sparked my interest for crown sized pieces again, so I think it won't be too long until I end up purchasing one!
