Thank you all for the kind comments!
PCGS or NGC Registry Sets can seem intimidating to new or average-income collectors, but there are ways to assemble interesting and creative registry sets without having a big budget. I probably will never receive Best of Category accolades for any of my sets, but that's never stopped me from putting them together.

I get it now - thought I was supporting a straight up inquiry with my initial response, see now the OP did this on purpose.

All is well and good.

I never knew you could send coins in and have them slabbed but not graded. Just another way for these companies to make money I guess.

As far as I know, an assessment without a digital designation is given when a company needs to evaluate a very very large number of coins at a time. Dealers just save so much money about getting coins in slab.

But I stand corrected... At the beginning of 2023, NGC gave me a "Best in Category" award for my set of gold quarter eagles in the category of "Indian Head Quarter Eagles, 1908-1929, Circulated Coins Only." Thank you NGC!

My set is titled "7 Month Collection" and can be found at: https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/co...sets/374725/
