This is a U.S. mint roll a friend of mine received from the bank while getting change for her store. On the wrapper it plainly states, Westward Journey Nickel Series. Has a D on the wrapper that I'm assuming means Denver mint. With the hard times, I can understand why it ended up in the bank. Both ends are showing tails, it's the color of the coins I don't apprehend. Just toning on the ends? Nice brass color.

Open the roll? Keep them as is? Thoughts.

All the rolls of Nickels I bought from the mint and left in the plastic trays they came in have gone this colour. I am assuming the mint did no research on the long term effects of the plastics they use in the roll trays... Sacs go almost black
