I ordered the 2009 Lincoln Silver Dollars (of course), but I did something 'better' as well. I put a roll of mixed 1950-58 XF/AU Wheat Cents in my pocket, and took a one-day break from spending/receiving zinc pennies.

That's right, I spent 1950's Wheat Cents in
all of my retail transactions on February 12th. The total I spent was 43 cents out of the 50.
None of the cashiers seemed to 'notice' (at least not in front of me!), and I'm pretty sure that the Home Depot self-checkout didn't 'hoard' the four cents I gave it!

I couldn't think of a better tribute to our great President than to put some
nice coins bearing his image back into circulation!
Unlike Scott Travers' spending of key-date Cents
(commented upon in this thread), my 1950's coins were not so precious as to be a 'crime against numismatics' if they get lost in circulation, and as many as 43 people could potentially get a nice 'Wheatie' for face value.

Anyone from a six-year-old to a
Morgan dollar Collector could be happy about getting a Wheatie for 1¢!

Hopefully, I've made some people happy, even
if it was just the cashiers hoarding them out of their drawers after I left...

I've had a ton of circulation finds over the years, including many more than 43 Wheaties, so Lincoln's birthday was a perfect day to give 'two-score and three' of the coins with his image on them 'back to the people'.
