I bought this cent for $3. I was most curious at the time of what could be under that line of gunk on the reverse. I gave it a decent bath and it revealed what looks to be a rim to rim die break?

Appears to be the beginning of a delamination.

Leaning toward an incipient rim-to-rim lamination. Nice closeup.
