Weird for sure, if it was don't post mint it would have been done with some expensive tools I'd guess. This is out of my range if knowledge and have seen some odd clips but this one is unique to my eyes so I won't comment further. I'll keep my eyes here for a conclusive answer

Definitely legitimate! You can see the blakesley effect in the area I circled. Also guys on large clips it doesn't have to be present to make it a legitimate clip.

Thanks again for the responses here. It does seem to be oddball looking clip but a genuine one anyways. I've web searched for similar shaped clips and haven't really found any.

It's a legitimate curved (concave) clip. They sometimes assume shapes that deviate from a perfect curve.
