I'd be interested if I didn't already have one on my keyring. It also is a cheap way to fill a hole in a type set.

Oh right I forgot about your keyring!

I love that overdate, clear as crystal.

thq, could you provide a pic of your key ring? That sounds like a great idea for a holed coin. I was also curious to see what you used to protect it from your keys.

But for every interesting one like that, there are about 100 like this:

I like how in the item specifics it's described as "proof like". I guess it's just hidden by all the wear and damage...

Here's the keyring 1803/2. Mine was bodybagged for surface alteration. The current ebay listing is much nicer.

I don't protect the holed coins from the keys, but I do keep the whole works in a small cloth bag that once contained scone mix. The holed coins make good spacers, allowing the keys to slide more easily on the ring. There are also a couple of 1818 quarters, a guinea and an escudo. Each holed coin is on its own small split ring so that it hangs freely on the keyring.

Just like the gypsies do it!

Wow $2853 for a draped bust five, that's the cheapest I have seen, and I've been looking. Cheap for obvious reasons of course, but the details are quite nice and it fills the hole.

BTW really-really don't lose those keys!
