Sorry Jim but I still can't make out any evidence of a second strike occurring on the obverse.
Whereabouts are you seeing the added impression?

Not seeming a second strike, it appears to be some sort of
stain. A second strike would also affect the copy around
the perimeter and there is no sight of that.
