I've been saving odd looking pocket change for years. For the last 3 yrs. or so I've been overwhelmed with trying to learn the differences and remembering the incredibly large error list, mostly pennies since I figured I would try and at least gain the necessary knowledge needed to figure out what it is I'm collecting. I just recently had gotten serious about looking at what I have and just when I thought I knew something. I feel like I'm starting all over again. So far I went through about a hundred coins and some of the errors are so off I can't really find any information on them. For instance a 1943 D that weighs 2.96g that has
DDO DDRV and die break with heavy
Machine Doubling. I found something from NGC and Heritage Auction showing experimental copper steel coated pl is 2.9g but that's all I've seen except a post that led me here about the same coin with the same weight from 5 yrs ago.

Anyway I've been up all night because I just ran across it last night on an accident because I was posting a 43 on
ebay and decided to weigh it and it was 2.85g which I thought was high so I grabbed a few more and was getting the proper weights around 2.7 and that's how I ended up here which seems to be a pretty awesome forum especially since I like to collect stamps also. I can't wait to look around and see what you're posting and to see what you think about some of mine.
