Simple post as a tribute to the only Canadian Head Of State I have ever known. You can not use money in our country without seeing her image at some point. A shining example of class, commitment to duty, respect, dignity & kindness. Rest in peace Elizabeth...you certainly have earned it...A nice example from her 1967 visit to Canada

Exactly - me too. And even though the images have changed during my lifetime, she has always been on the currency. I didn't know the woman, but my (small) collection is just a small part of why it totally felt like someone I knew had passed. It has me wondering what will be my favourite in my bill and coin collection, and also wondering if there should be something that I seek out now, which I will want in my collection later.
