I didn't find out about the Holiday Exchange until it was too late. But it was then fun to watch it all unfold. @rggoodie a great job well done! I'll be joining for the 2023 exchange. Quote: ok, what is molydeli? molydeii is a member living in Turkey

I think molydeli will update us tomorrow.
Please wait until he updates us.
As for the packages other members sent, do they have tracking numbers? That will helps with getting them to the destination in Turkey. Or they are stuck in customs?
Stay well and warm, everyone, please!

Thank you to everyone who participated.
This year the exchange went very smoothly.
The last person to receive received his gift late due to a mistake I made. and If Merclover is unhappy with what she received- I would be happy to send her another coin.
This year we also experimented with having a mass mailing to Turkey- In the last few years. Nothing got through to Turkey. Now that we know that we were able to overcome this - No more mass mailings and thanks to all of you who sent an extra gift to Turkey. I know there was additional expense involved.
You should all be proud of yourselves.
PS I will leave this open until the end of February for additional comments then this thread will be locked.

Hopefully molydeii is ok, given the terrible earthquake last night.

I received an email from Molydeii and he is safe and well. He lives 800 km from the damage zone. He is an engineer and volunteer and is about to be deployed to Hatay near the Syrian border as part of the rescue effort. I'm sure you'll join me in adding Molydeii and his country to your thoughts and prayers.

Molydeli lives in western part of Turkey near the coast. Yes, he wrote to me letting me know that my contents are all accounted for which I am quite delighted! Also, he informed me that he will be going with the rescue group to Hatay. I understand that the two earthquakes were the strongest to occur in a long time for Turkey. However, Turkey is prone to earthquakes. The people in Turkey and Syria do have my sympathies and hopefully they could rescue many people as they can! Molydeli is worried because of heavy snow they are having now and it may affect their ability to rescue people. Like ttkoo said, please extend our thoughts and prayers for his people and Syrians. I think he is in communication with rggoodie about other members whose packages are supposed to be with him. A member kindly contacted me about this and I referred him to rggoodie as he is our Santa. Hope the situation would be sorted out soon. You can track your package on this website: https://track.ptt.gov.tr/ That's how I tracked my package. It has more information than US Post Office's website. Not sure about Canadian packages, it should work as well. Do not mind the words that it is for registered mail, please. Good night/morning to all of you. Stay well and be safe, please!

Thank you for that website Carrigna!
I was able to see that my package is being held at the post office. Delivery was attempted once and failed.

This was an outstanding Secret Santa exchange season - and it was great fun to not only participate but to read about all of the generous gift giving amongst the members. Special tip of the cap to our Santa rggoodie - could not have done it without you.

I sent a Christmas card to molydeli with a couple of small banknotes inside, sent shortly after I was asked. Well someone has them now I am sure. I just went to the post office and they used a standard forever stamp for foreign mail. Well, if asked again, I would do it all over.

I've been remiss, as I have something for molydeli that has been sitting on my table for months. Just haven't been to the post office since December. However, the spirit of giving is not limited to a particular season.
