Late to the party on this one --

Dearborn, in your printed spreadsheet, what do the numbers in the left column represent?

Thanks Celtic - as you can see, I have a lot of coins to send in to PCGS for grading.

Those are reference notes for comments I have on page 3 (not posted) Let me go print them out and post them for you to see.

Thanks Zurie, it can be a battle at times. On that spread sheet I also list mintage numbers, my cost, and any 3rd party grating numbers (among other stuff I prefer to keep to myself.)
I do need to update it to list the type I and II eagles (especially for the Gold ones as there was no room for that notation.)
I have a similar spread sheet for every Dansco album, and mint set I own as well.
AS the the 'bought prices' I have all the spread sheets tabulate and sum up each page (which are many) and a grand total on the first page) that give my a good guestimate on the value (or how crazy I am buying all this stuff) of my collection.

Excellent! Thank you for the explanation. I may poach your notes to add to my own spreadsheet. With your permission, of course.

Why yes you can take any information you want from that. I have no 'copy-right' on that.

Nope, I have that one too. Up above, any group of coins in green are part of a full set. note 2 is my 'King set' It is the first coin listed - after that are the gold that are also in the full set.

@Dearborn,

you actually have made me get interested in buying a 1986 Proof ASE, and even may be start a set.
What do you think a complete Proof Set would cost to assemble?

Well, I'm glad I'm able to spark up interest in these great coins. Good luck on your new endeavor

Well, for me I strived to have the most complete a proof collection that I could (I have achieved that goal - but at great cost.)
I spent a little over $22,000 on my collection so far. Now that does include several high dollar coins and gold sets too - so don't let that scare you off.
I'll reattach my spread sheet which also includes my costs for each coin. I'll let you make the choice on which ones to buy.

Items in green I bought as a complete set, and red are uncirculated ASE coins I'm starting but buy.

Could be, don't know - every one I got came in their OGP still in the mint capsule.
I in the process of getting them graded so we'll find out soon. (I'm grading them by date - oldest first.) Already have 1986-1991 in at PCGS, so that will give me more info as I move forward.

I did buy most of the coin at the beginning of the Covid pandemic - when people were not working much - so the prices were down a bit at that time.
