My first question ... newbie here ... please forgive any errors & let me know how to correct. Found this 2021-D penny in random change. Appears to have earlobe error but different from photos I've seen.

@tex, first welcome to CCF. Second, if you are referring to that crease on Abe's lobe, that looks most like a circulation hit to me.

If it is incuse, it has taken a hit.

Tried different settings with my camera but no luck for clearer pic. Re-examined multiple times & different angles. Decent looking for a circulated coin, there are other scratches/gouges noted ... most likely is damage. I gotta say, love this site!!

But the bump on the coin turns it into not a collectable. Look for the better coins to save and appreciate.
