Seems like what used to take 3 days is now taking a week.

I agree edweather. What's going on? It's not just USPS. I've noticed UPS being slow lately as well.

Yes I just received a coin from Arizona took 8 days to get to me in NY .
God forbid we should mention political disruption as the cause .

I think volumes in general are picking up. My wife's little ecom jewelry business is 2-3x the orders compared to a few months ago, it usually picks up in mid-October.

For me, it seems the luck of the draw, sometimes a first-class parcel gets loaded on a plane and arrives from the East Coast in 3 days and other times it seems to find a truck and goes dark for a week.

More and more people are buying physical goods on-line, but still need them shipped. There is a shortage of labor and so shipping delays have increased.

I haven't noticed anything definitively. I've experienced about a day's slowdown in first class for some (not all) shipments spanning 1500+ miles over the last 18+ months or so.. No delay for priority. Some stuff even arrives early, ahead of carrier estimates.
