As stated above, MD and a very nice example. It's "slide" or "push" Machine Doubling.

I will like to see more better the year and the mint mark. Hope you can provide the photos. The 1 (one) seem to be a clear doubling by the photo posted.

Note the affected area on the first image? Note that the MD flattened the contour of the design. So this is not a doubled die. Just Machine Doubling damage to the coin post strike. Even on the strongest DDO, that area is only slightly affected:
1955 DDO-001:

Then also note, that the affected areas are always rounded, not flattened. Machine doubling always flattens the affected areas. Removing the contour of the normal design. You can have Machine Doubling on a Doubled Die, but only a doubled die, creates a doubled die coin. Machine Doubling can alter both. Doubled dies and normal dies.
