Kennedy half with very weak details on the obverse and a little on the reverse. My first thought was plated but the rim looks normal and I can see the copper center. My second thought was some kind of decal but I can't indent the face and there is no "edge" that I could peel it. Is this a possible grease strike or worn die? Coin weighs 10.9 grams. Thanks in advance.

Well it looks like the obverse was excessively worn down. Even part of the rim is gone.
Having a weight on this coin would be very helpful.

Just spitballing here, but two possibilities come to mind:

1. An ordinary coin that is heavily worn, maybe used as a pocket piece.
2. A coin struck on a slightly thin and underweight planchet, then moderately worn.

Not worth any premium, IMO.

Looks like an under weight planchet issue.

I'm leaning towards a heavily worn die. No premium.
