Quote: I want to find a $1 bill with 5 consecutive 9's in circulation. I have 5 consecutive of everything else, just got 5 1's. The odds of getting 5 consecutive 9's is one about 29,000 so...some work to do! That is impressive! Good luck with the 9s! 1. Continue to add early dated/datable coins in the 1400s, and "decade coins" earlier. Still missing 1491, 1488, 1487, and most dates before 1474. This year I added 8. Next year would be happy with 3 to 5.
2. Continue to grow collection and knowledge of saints on medieval coins.
3. Continue work building Numista catalog in areas of interest/expertise (Low Countries, Italian states). I doubt I can add as many coins as in 2022, and will probably be doing a lot of translations next year.

Due to changing priorities, I made little progress on my 2022 goals, so I can just cut/paste with a few updates: 1. Finish my Ike slabbed PCGS set. I made progress in '21 '22 but still have a few 4(5) coins to go and one or two I'd like to upgrade. 2. Add 5 Proof ASEs to fill holes in the CAPS albums 3. Separate most single coins (ASEs, commemoratives) from OGP and transfer to some other, yet-to-be-determined storage method to save space in the safe 4. Add 100+ more world notes to my world paper money collection 5. Update ASE CAPS albums with all years / issues that I have already purchased in the past 2-3 years. This will require additional pages from CAPS. 6. Reorganize my US Paper money albums 7. Maintain my annual set purchases from the US Mint 8. Acquire an album for the Women's Quarters and the Innovation Dollars Honestly I'm not sure how much time/money I'll have to dedicate to the hobby this year, so I might be rehashing this list again for 2024.

2023 goals: - Add the final Ike to my PCGS set, 1972 Type 2. (I'm resisting the urge to expand this set to include Ike medals) - Add to my PCGS Lincoln cent/penny proof set - Add to my PCGS Washington quarter proof set - Organize, organize, organize - Document and photograph my collection - Continue the search for an affordable red "MV" OPA token - Continue the search for for a "FUN 2000 G" JSG Boggs Sacagawea 'dollar'.

1. Get the remainder of the 2022 Canadian circulating commemorative coins I don't have. Get the 2023 circulating coins for both Canada and the U.S. 2. Get the U.S. Native American dollars since 2020. 3. Look for more medals that fit my collecting interest. Mainly British commemorative. 4. Pick up some more Canadian Victorian silver coins. 5. Consider starting a slabbed U.S. coin type set and/or U.S. one dollar type set. 6. Encourage the next generation to get involved in coin collecting.

Here are my goals for the next year: (fyi I live in Australia) 1: Obtain (one way or another) all the 50 cent, 1 dollar, and 2 dollar coins made for circulation. This will be a bit hard since I'm stalling on the 50 cents, the majority of the 2022 $1 coins I find are the dinosaurs, and don't get me started on that Red Poppy - 2: Upgrade my existing sets of 5 cent, 10 cent, and 20 cent coins to reasonable condition. Most of my five cents are in EF-UNC condition, ten cents I'm in the middle of doing, and I haven't gotten around to upgrading my Twenty Cent coins - 3. Purchase some mint-set only years and some of those sweet New Zealand crowns. Again, this will be a bit hard as some of the mint years are in the $15-$30 range. On top of that, I am still studying and, well, obviously, a bit skint. But the New Zealand crowns I don't think will be much of a problem; the coin store I go to has quite a few years, all for under $10 each. (None of the Royal Arms and fern years though, and how on earth am I supposed to get the 1970 Cook Islands $1 without going bankrupt?)

Getting an incuse flag 50 Cents from circulation would be a tough call. Nevertheless: -there still may be a few out there. I was fortunate enough to have one given to me in a swap.
With the One Dollar coins, I am missing quite a few letters in all series. Another nevertheless :- I have a friend who is an employee in the Post Office from where these series were originally issued. Since I have searching pocket change for about six years, for as many types of coins that have been issued into circulation, and have some multiples of earlier decimal coin types, in all denominations, that she does not have. I am hoping to do a swap with perhaps 30 or more different coin types covering all denominations.
As indicated earlier in this thread I have an OFECCC** collection, but I still have fun as a kid would do looking for modern decimal coin types that have been issued into circulation.
** see earlier post in this thread.

My goal, maybe a pipe dream, is to save up and look for a Fine to Very Fine Draped Bust Dollar when I go to the ANA show next August.
