Finish my type album, Add to my gold type set, Continue to add to my Morgan dollar & Standing quarter albums & Finish my Peace dollar album (Need 4 common dates). As well as get a proof example of a barber or seated coin (dime / quarter / half) & or a high grade Standing quarter. Considering I barely did any of these things I suppose its the same as last year, in this order. Finish my type album Finish my Peace dollar album Proof example of a Barber Proof example of a Seated High grade Standing quarterAdd to my standing & morgan sets Add to my gold page
I've been collecting for a couple years... Favorite Coin's are Standing Liberty quarters, Working on my type set | Coffee, Corvettes, Coins & the CCF what could be better?

I'm hoping that the Mods can merge the 2 lists that are of the same topic - it would be much easier to track everyone's lists in one location...

anything goes. I have plenty of things that will keep me awake at night in 2023.. my LWC folder still needs an '09-S VDB, i still need two ASEs to complete my Type l reverse collection, my Morgan dollar pile could use some new additions, my type album has numerous holes that need filling, and I'm hoping I can squeeze three or four grams of gold from the streets...

I picked up an S-22 1794 in PCGS fr2 the other day. its a nice low grade coin rather than anything particularly impressive. 1/6th of the way to meeting my goals with plenty of year left. edit to add pictures. the scratches are all on the slab. no idea whats going on with libertys upper lip.

That's a tough question for me. I guess what I would like to do is continue to fill all MINT holes in my Morgan set. I have all of the years...now it's time to get one from each available Mint. I also need to continue with my many 2023 series' sets. Good luck everyone!

Just to learn. I truly enjoy my evening treasure hunt while a movie or audio book plays. I don't want to make goals and end up somehow sucking the fun out of it for me.

Thank you, and I will. It seems my inability to find a PCGS graded 2015-P Ike has forced me to look higher up the list.

Quote: It seems my inability to find a PCGS graded 2015-P Ike... Yeah for whatever reason those are much harder to find than the 2015-D. I kept checking ebay and finally one came up for me at a price I was comfortable with in June last year. Keep at it!

I have two different searches saved to try to catch them. Every time I get a notification I get excited, until I remember that the Reverse Proof is also a 2015-P!

Last year was a year of change for my collecting focus. I became much more involved with collecting currency and sold off some areas of my coin collection in which I'd lost some interest. That included my complete sets of modern gold and silver commemoratives and classic gold commemoratives, as well as my U.S. gold type set (except for my high-relief Saint-Gaudens double eagle ). For 2023, I'm still trying to define exactly what I want to do. You'd think after well over 50 years of collecting this would be easy, but I feel I'm in a bit of a transition period! I was even briefly thinking about selling my complete classic silver commemorative collection, but after some discussions with other collectors and doing a bit of soul-searching, I've decided to continue my upgrading on that set. I'm really not ready to let that set go, as I do love that set and feel there is still a lot I can do with it and keep it entertaining. In fact, I have three new upgrades on the way to me now which I'll be sharing with everyone soon! So, right now my goals are to (a) continue needed upgrades to my classic silver commemorative set, (b) continue working on some of the tough remaining missing items for my U.S. type sets (proof and mint state), and (c) focus even more on my currency collection, particularly my fractional currency complete set which has become a new passion. Still a long, long ways to go on that last one, but that keeps it interesting!
