Quote:Every time I get a notification I get excited, until I remember that the Reverse Proof is also a 2015-P! Yeah the 2015-P RP is going to be an expenisive one. I'm still tempted to just crack one of my Ike C&C sets and send it in for grading. Would probably be cheaper in the long run.

I started buying 1/10 oz. world gold, but the premium were too high, then switch to 1/4 oz. since middle of last year, last two purchase was a .4823 oz Mexico Pesos, and a 1/4 Onza Libertad.
Edit: Need 3 more Japan coins to fill in order to complete my Dansco Japan Type Album, and these last 3 isn't going to come easy.

I got lucky with mine. I bought the dollar and medal as a pair at a decent price. They have the First Strike label, but were re-slabbed at some point because they are in the latest PCGS Gen 6.1 holder. And yes, I have been tempted to send in my 2015-P business strike from the mint set.

Quote: I bought the dollar and medal as a pair at a decent price. Now there's a good thought. I still seem to recall those being expensive even as a set though. I'll take a look. Seems to me most of the graded 2015 Ikes out there on ebay are graded by NGC tho.

The NGC is more plentiful that PCGS. I only see one PCGS medal-dollar pair on ebay right now, and it is more than double what I paid for mine.

To sort it!
I have the coins in ziplocs, and I have albums and the materials to nicely order the collection, but I am unable to find the time!
Failed to go through some swaps in numista because I can't find the darn coins

Better late than never: 1. Continue CBH date set - this is getting harder as nice coins have seen large price increases 2. British Trade dollar - don't collect much foreign but like this design 3. 1907 NM $10 Indian 4. $5 Indian type 5. Maryland commem. - still can't find one that I like, even most 66s have scrapes across the face 6. 1927 Peace 7. DCAM Franklin 8. Mint '22 Morgans / Peace issues 9. 1804 spiked chin 1/2 cent with nice reverse Cuds10. Proof coins 1936-1940 I will have had a great year if I come close to half of these.

I made a last purchase so I can do a few updates. Quote: 1) Complete the 3 missing coins from my 7070 type set. This is really low priority. The 3 missing coins just don't excite me for what they cost. So it most likely won't even be looked at. Purchased 1 ASE which was just a pick up at my LCS, added a few points to the collection, but no real pickups. Kind of lost interest due to the high prices of the missing coins. Quote:2) Complete the slabbed IHC set. Missing only 9. May get a few but I doubt I'll complete the set in 2023. No updates Quote: 3) Get any missing notes from my US currency type set. I have a few fractionals that I am interested in and maybe another large sized. I was able to get a few nice notes that I was missing and some cool items, including a $100 FRBN. A few fractional specimens. A really nice NJ colonial note. Quote: 4) Get the following from the US Mint: a) Women's quarter in Silver Proof b) Innovation Dollars Proof Set c) Get the Peace/Morgan proofs and reverse proofs. d) Get the Peace for 2023, Morgans are ? None yet released. Quote: 5) Add to my Portuguese Coin Type Set Since I went to Portugal, I picked up a few nice coins. Quote: 6) Add to my Portuguese Currency Type Set. This is getting harder as most notes are mucho bucks, but I was able to add a rare note.

Quote:1) ATB silver proof set Bought a 2014 proof silver when I got my ebay bucks certificate earlier this year. Last Sunday went to the Nashua (NH) Coin Show but didn't see any ATB silver proof sets. Will probably buy them online somewhere. Quote: 2) Kingdom of The Netherlands Type Set Recently bough a 1848 Gulden at auction. Still looking for a Willem I Gulden and Rijksdaalder in VF-XF condition, in addition to several Dutch East Indies coins from the mid-19th century. Quote: 3) Set of Silver Ducats from The Dutch Republic In the process of auctioning off the two ungraded coins I have. Quote: 4) World commemorative coins of composers This project goes well. Finishing up with coins featuring composers from Austria. I am only missing the 20 Schilling 1996 Bruckner commemorative. In the mean time working on those from the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Italy. Quote: 5) International Birthyear Set Collection I now have 18 sets. Keep going. Quote: 6) Medals from Utrecht A small collection that is slow going. I hope to acquire more at upcoming auctions.

The last March auction I participated in has come and gone, so I can report my 1Q progress: 1. Continue to add early dated/datable coins in the 1400s, and "decade coins" earlier... would be happy with 3 to 5. Picked up a couple of Holland coins dateable to 1391 and 1393.2. Continue to grow collection and knowledge of saints on medieval coins. Picked up St. Lucy (Mantua), St. Wenceslas (Bohemia), St. Cyr (Pavia, Italy) and St. Catherine (Mantua).3. Continue work building Numista catalog in areas of interest/expertise. Involved in a major restructuring of the medieval/early modern Low Countries sections of catalog But finding plenty of unlisted coins to add to the catalog along the way.
