Possibly the mint mark was removed and then the fake die was made from it, clearly a counterfeit to my eyes. The reverse denticles around Dollar are ridiculous, among many other things.
The coin is a fake. Note the neck feathers come all the down to the eagle's shoulder much like a type 2 Trade dollar. As noted above the denticles are crude on the fake. The type 1 reverse on the 1875 is extremely rare and everyone that I have seen has square rims much like a proof.
