Hello everyone, This coin is for sale at a local coin shop. The price (€320) is likely negotiable as most cash sales in Rome. I am not seeing anything glaringly wrong with the coin and it seems fairly priced at €320. Looking for thoughts, opinions, and/or confirmation from folks on the forum...

Louisville... Thank you so much. Is it safe to conclude this is a lifetime issue?
Seems fairly priced at €320.

Roma2021:
I am not an expert on these so I will let others answer. I just looked it up as the direction of the name was very unfamiliar to me so it was easy to find as it must be rare from that city. My opinion only. And if others like the coin as real it is a great price in my opinion. I don't see any issues through the flip covering it.

On CNGCoins.com, use their research line, type Price 3228. There's about 15 examples there you can compare with and prior sales prices.

Hi Livingwater,
I am not finding 15 examples using 'Price 3228' or '3228' under price, but 'Alexander the great' does have 500+ results. I will weed through those.
Thanks!
and thanks @louisville again!

Hopefully someone can confirm this, but I was thinking that lifetime issues showed Zeus with his legs uncrossed while posthumous issues showed Zeus with crossed legs.

Hi Spence, I read that too. I initially thought that was fairly dispositive, but it turns out it is only 'likely lifetime' if his legs are uncrossed. (sorry typo for a few hours I read this article which elaborates. https://www.forumancientcoins.com/n...tetradrachms

They are on CNG research page, type on search line "Price 3228" then click find. Their coin shop shows 3, eAuctions 14, feature Auctions 2, click on them. https://cngcoins.com/Coins_sold.aspx

Got it @livingwater. The 'Coin Shop' examples sold at very strong prices; the auction prices are a bit low, but the most recent is from 2018. I may go and make the shop an offer on Monday.
