I decided to Call the U S Mint and Place an Order Too.

I signed in, Was being shown a Blue screen which The Comments were posted Earlier. I was frustrated That The Agent was asking me IMO, Very Stupid, Questions What form of payment would you like to use. My Reply, The SAME one on file for Years. Sorry Sir, We have " a Script, We must read, OK........



After receiving a Confirmation on My Order I expressed My concerns, In That, WHY did I have to Go Through Hoops to get to the Confirmation.

Why would a Person, Who regularly orders 25 - 45 Orders a Year, For the Last 12-15 Years, Have to Explain, There is No Initial on My Card, I am using... I was fortunate that The U S Mint representative I had Was Educated and On The Ball. She volunteered There is a Form, Called "Voice of the Customer ", She filed it , To be read by Her Supervisors...


I was Impressed with The Mints's Views on Changes with Things...... We can Only Hope...... PS, Looks like the Peace dollar Proofs will sell out Before The Morgans......

I was prepared to do battle today, but apparently it was unnecessary. I logged onto the mint site 9 a.m. (I'm in California but will quote EDT for consistency). Had the mint website running and logged in on my desktop, iPad, and iPhone in preparation of disaster. It was prepared to be disappointed. Kept refreshing all the devices at various times, but kept getting the page showing the product, but no ordering availability. Finally at 11:48 I was put into the waiting room on my iPad and was told ordering would begin in 12 minutes. I tried refreshing my desktop to see what would happen, but was not taken to the waiting room. I anxioiusly awaited for the appointed hour arrive fearing some inevitable disaster. At 11:53 I was suddenly taken out of the waiting room and set back to the future order page. Kept refreshing to no avail. An 12:00 I expected to go into the waiting room when I hit refresh, but no. I desperately went to the product schedule page and clicked on the item and was taken to the order page. I filled a few blanks and was accepted at 12:02. Printed my receipt and was done. Now I'll be a prisoner in my house for the next couple of weeks afraid to leave fearing the postal person will leave the package on my doorstep. It's okay though. I'm retired and never go anywhere anyway.

Got home early, took a half day of from work for this. Was going to take the whole day off, but trying to keep up on projects at work. So I left work about 45 minutes before the drop.
Got home, made coffee, log in to my account about 5 min prior to the drop, expecting to be put in the wait room.
No wait room.
Went to the gold coin, had the "remind me" button.
Was thinking I somehow messed up and it's sold out already, but I knew that couldn't be.
I did see a red add to the bag for what I thought was this year's silver Liberty medal, so added that to the bag, thinking the Mint has really messed up and offered the silver medal early. Wrong, it was the 2022 that's still available.
Watched the time and kept refreshing. At 11 (Central) the gold went to "add to the bag", got to my cart and checked out no problem
Realized I had bought another 2022 silver.
Decided WTH, I'll get the 2023 medal anyways, so hopped back in and bought one. People say they'll be more popular than the 2022.
So I'll need to decide about what to do with the other medal. Just really odd about no wait room for these today.

As I stated above I bought the gold. I thought there would be a whole lot more interest in this release than there actually was. I really thought it would sell out quickly due to the experience two years ago. I guess people are more into bucking broncos than trees. All I'mseeing is tumbleweeds and crickets. Anyone know how many are left?
