I came across two of these while going through the first ten coins of a 1959D roll. It has a nice filled R in Liberty plus a possible Cud on the rim. Would this be considered a Cud to the left of Liberty? I checked Cuds on coins site but didn't see it listed. Thanx in advance for your time and replies.
Rim Cuds are where the gutter breaks away off of the dime. A Die Cud is where part of the outside devices of the die breaks away and usually takes away part of the gutter as well: The Broken 'R' is a broken post issue on the die.The post forms the center of the incuse area of a closed device. These are more common to find.
Thank you once again coop. Very informative. Have spent hours and then some reading your threads at the top of the page. Trying to educate myself, so I don't look like a complete idiot lol, just the villages. It's like having a PHD Professor to learn from. Greatly appreciate you sharing your knowledge with all.
Thanx Tacc. Yes with this group on here it's a true learning experience. I read every post and the answers always seem to answer questions I have but haven't asked yet.
