Poll Question
Do you use a mobile phone or desktop/laptop? For many years, whenever video was displayed on the internet, most people preferred them be recorded in landscape mode (widescreen). But with mobile phones and apps being so popular, I'm wondering if this has changed, especially with social media like IG. And what about ebay? I've taken the liberty of adding videos to my coin listings on ebay, because photographs are often times not the best representation of what a coin would look like in hand. However, I've used landscape mode and I'm wondering if I should instead use portrait mode, if most people are using the app on a mobile phone.

I selected "Mobile and I prefer landscape" as I use my iPad which is perfect for ebay, especially the pinch and zoom function.

landscape if showing obv and rev in the same photo and cropped square if 1 side showing. so basically doesn't matter (auto screen rotate on phones 'n all that)

What website do you use to host your videos on?

ebay allows sellers to add a video as well as pictures.

I didn't realize that desktop has a portrait mode. I use my iPad a lot, and it's always locked in portrait mode, while my wife is always in landscape mode. Neither of us can tolerate doing it the other way.

Using ebay on a phone doesn't work as well as on a desktop, as many features are not available. For instance, custom Watch Lists are missing.

The mobile app still has a long way to go for me. I might search or browse using it, but I always "watch" and take a closer look on the laptop before making any decisions.

Quote: I didn't realize that desktop has a portrait mode. If you "snap" so you have two "full-half-screen" windows side-by-side, then portrait video fills its window more. Also, if you have an Acer monitor like the B246HL I have, you can rotate the screen to make it portrait. I tried doing that with my pair (so I had, in effect, one large 18x16 desktop monitor), but never could get used it it.
