Appel's three part series on the Washington quarter type B reverse last year. Finding it quite informative and complete I started looking for the best examples of each, 1956 through 1964. Some very nice examples were not easy to come by and took almost a year to obtain. Finally complete, here is my 9 coin set of the reverse type B. All are attributed and MS 65 or 66. The 1956 was the only one I could not locate attributed AND graded by a major TPG. However, this 1956 MS 65 is a confirmed reverse type B, FS-901. silviosi Pillar of the Community Canada 6244 Posts	Posted 03/23/2023 8:43 pm Nice, only one coin made me jealous the 1964. Suggestion: send your 1956 for re-slabbing with the good attribution. To buy attributed 1956 in 65 or more you has to pay the price. Again very nice and glad to see you like those quarters. Can you post here or send me the Reverse of the 1956? please. Are two versions : with re-engraved feathers tail and without. To find is a big challenge when we think that just 381 coins was certified and I do not expect will pass the 500 in the next 100 years. Me I have re-engraved , this is one of the two Dies used. Is believe that the other Die was just reused as was. Report this Post to the Staff

silviosi Pillar of the Community Canada 6244 Posts	Posted 03/25/2023 6:48 pm I see, thanks posting. You has same I have. Was believe was two dies use, but me I think was only one. The number discovered IMHO tell me that only one was used. Me I will send to VSS to put variety sticker on. I saw many coins with PCGS slab and variety certified by VSS and collectors and big auctions houses as Heritage or Great Collections recognize. To resend to PCGS will be a little bit costly.
