What kind of ASE is this ? Is the figure that he is 1 out of 5000 giving him +% to the cost? I have found several such coins, unfortunately PCGS cannot evaluate such coins by value. He has no information about the market price. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

The mint started releasing a limited advanced copies of special edition coins for dealers to buy. I don't think any roll edition silver eagles were released as advanced issues.

I don't think it really means #1 of 5,000, like you would see with an art print. It literally means it was one of 5,000 released to dealers and graded by PCGS. Very misleading, but that can be the nature of the English language.

I beleive the "Premier" label is a Mike Mezack/HSN exclusive. A "Premier" certificate is also included with the packaging.

Here is a photo of another coin. I also saw THOMAS CLEVELAND coins with a signature, also with a mention of 1 of 1000.

I'm not a fan of early released coin. I would definitely stay away from the marketing gimmicks.

I have a 2022 cent in pretty good shape. I'm going to print a very special label for its plastic flip, just making one label saying it is ONLY 1 of 1 in my series, unique. I'll take $50 for it. This is not a marketing gimmick. It will really be just one cent with 1 of 1 label LOL. IMO this is just marketing for profit, creating a self made limit, unless you'd also get a signature with it from a famous person which might have collector value. A silver eagle is just a silver eagle no matter how much you dress up the packaging. Graded labels with "early releases" "first strike" etc. are IMO marketing. Though the US Mint says they don't keep track of shipping out coins whether they were struck first or later, some collectors like these labels, they are popular. https://www.usmint.gov/news/consume...designations

To me it is a deceptive practice. The deception is that the coin is #1 of a series, when it is actually just one coin in the series of X number of coins.

Every Single Business Needs to Pay their bills, What better that a LABEL Making Company, We will call them Third Party Guessers, They Make labels and Take The $$$$$$$$$$ people pay them, Seriously Never a Fan of Labels, Early Release, Emergency Releases, Early Releases, Etc,. All produced for Needless, Unnecessary Differing purposes, imo. PS, In my opinion D Hall's Direction in 1986 Was Far from where the Authentication process goes Today, Labels Make and Bring in revenue, Depends which side of the Coin Your looking at.
