Speaking for myself, this is the only one I have spotted in 6 months of searching. For comparison, the treasured "W" mint mark is considered rare and valuable and it has 2 million mintage per coin version. PS In response to questions yes I have these two semi rare quarters, found in circulation: 2012 D Hawaii Volcanoes, 46M P mintage, 78M D, America the Beautiful. 2009 D U.S. Virgin Islands, 41M P, 41M D, District of Columbia and U.S. Territories. In relative--modern mintage volume--terms, 22 million each for P and D is on the low(er) side, but not crazy rare. I come across this particular quarter a few times a year--one just three weeks ago. That is among the longest times for me to find a coin. I do believe that my record long is 9 years. That was for a 2009 Denver nickel. Report this Post to the Staff
