I should say the label doesn't match. The coin is the same it says cleaned online, but the label says details damage. Which is different. A couple others are different too but this one is two different categories. Just curious what PCGS usually does in this case. Can they just update it online from cleaned to damage? It has two little gouge marks.

It seems PCGS is consistently inconsistent. Cleaning is surface damage, and cleaning is a details grade.

Yeah I get that, but damage has its own code (98) vs cleaning which is code (92). So I have others that say details (98-damage) on coin facts. But the holder says "bent" because it has a rim ding.

Yeah, you are correct.

I had to look at my 1869 Seated dollar. The label says "PCGS Genuine" and "Cleaned-F Detail" and the PCGS app pulls it up as "Genuine - Fine Details (92 - Cleaned)."

Do they post multiple codes on each slab, or if one superceded the other they use that?

They only put one code on the slab, in the spot where the numerical grade usually goes after the decimal point. In this case, 5481.92.

92 is the code for cleaning, which is used on both this slab and the one I have (had, I cracked it for the 7070).

So the code is right (92), but the text is wrong on this slab. Mine said "Cleaned-F Detail" while this one says "Damage-VF Detail"
