I have a couple of coins I want to have attributed just still undecided about grading. If I do decide to get it graded, it'll already be attributed (1 of them isn't worth a whole lot, I just wanted the variety listed). The post office here is unreliable (i.e. priority mail or packages requiring a signature still gets left on the door). Is there a such thing as taking the coins to them instead, or am I asking something that isn't do-able?

Well your first step would for you to post up some images here for us to look at and help steer you in the right direction.

@surfacewave funny you ask bc I know of 1 guy that owns a gold and silver exchange shop. I was given his business card a long time ago and I remember it said PCGS something or another on it. You just jogged my memory, thanks!
Dearborn, I didn't wanna bore yall with these pics. It's the Otero, Angelou quarters with strike throughs but nothing I've seen before. I'll surprise yall once I get pictures together ;)

A-new-numi,

You can go to coin shows where a TPG is set up and drop off your coins for attribution in person. It would be best if you post photos here on CCF of coins in question so we can tell you if they are worth the expense of having them slabbed.

Well, the cent is a worn, environmentally damaged coin. Spender, or keeper just because it is a Wheat cent. IMO, worth 1¢.

I see a very, very worn cent (193-?) with the single pic posted above. Not only worn, but shows a good deal of old crud/corrosion. Wonder what the reverse looks like.

Lastly, having an error "attributed" won't matter to the TPG, even if you go through CONECA. If you submit the coin for grading and pay the extra attribution fee, it still has to be something that specific TPG will attribute and they will check it, not just rubber stamp somebody elses' work.

For example, most of the varieties that PCGS attributes are not errors, but rather die varieties:

Lol oh no guys, sorry for the misunderstanding. That's not the coin lol!! That coin WAAAAASS a 1936 DDO until I used acetone on it (or what I thought was acetone #128558;#8205;#128168;#128558;#8205;#128168;#128558;#8205;#128168;). Gah I feel like such a loser for doing that smh

No worries, we all make mistakes on some facet of coin collecting... Your cent does indeed look like a 1936 DDO to me (one I am still looking for) with obvious damage. When acetone, we here mean 100% strength and not diluted with other chemicals

Back when I got started coin collecting years ago in my teens, I sure made many mistakes I regret today, but sticking around CCF sure has helped bunches here and made me far more competent than ever before...
